Sandstorm and the police again

Last day in the desert sand storm. But luckily not that much, that there was no breathing possible anymore. The storm makes the air fresh.

Some hours later I saw signs of a flood. ??? In the evening I was told, that there was heavy rain around Iranian new year. The flood was 1m high and the whole border area was overflowed too.

Half way from Taybat to the border I encountered another Police and military control. First they controlled me, then took my passport and telefon. We have questions, they said. They brought me back to there military station. Outside on the side in the sandstorm in the midday heat, I had to unpack my bag. Everything was ok. But they had to call some police from somewhere. We waited outside of the military camp for two hours. Luckily I was so strong even with my fast. But I was angry. There was no reason to treat me like that.

The police arrived. They made a report about me, which I had to sign. Since a while, everytime in a foreign country, when I can’t read the report I sign with: ‚I can’t read this‘ with my signature on top of it. They also wanted a finger print.

I ask the police then, why they treat me like this. And why police work has to be first unfriendly. I told them that I had to be 2h in the sandstorm in the midday heat, for what. By having rooms just 50m away. Finally they apologized and wanted to talk to the military.

After walking 100m they came behind me and asked for a foto.

Reaching the border I found out, that it will be open again next morning at 7am.

Ok where to sleep? The last 4km there were a truck traffic jam. One of the truck drivers led me to a kind of shopping area for the drivers. They have to wait until 4 days to be processed through the costums. After a while I was surrounded by 20 people, handing out some more peace birds. Asking myself, sleeping here? Surrounded by so many people. How can I rest?

I invited some space……

After 15min a soldier, Ersan, showed up and invited me back to Taybat for a cosy evening. thanks
