Weihnachten / Lesbos / ….

Liebe Freunde, weiter unten einen Beitrag auf english, den ich vor einigen Tagen auf facebook gepostet habe. Fuer alle, die kein facebook haben.

Das Wetter ist unglaublich an diesem Weihnachtsfeste, wir koennen draussen sitzen in der Sonne.
An Heiligabend haben wir im OXY ‚unser‘ Camp eine unglaublich tolle Party gefeiert.
Viele der Starfish – Volunteers waren da, aber auch etliche Freiwillige von anderen Hilfsorganisationen und auch ein paar Lokals.

‚Unser‘ Camp wird in ca. 1 Woche geschlossen, da hier ein ‚professionelles‘ Camp oeffnet, heute geoeffnet hat. Die Kleiderausgabe wird allerdings weiter von Starfish coordiniert werden. Viele sind sich nicht sicher, ob das neue Camp so funktionieren kann, da es an einer Schotterstrasse liegt und kein Bus dort hinkommen kann. 18 Minivans sollen die Fluechtlinge hin und her bringen. Solange es trocken ist…. aber wenn es regnet, wird es zu einer Schlammpiste…. Das OXY Camp wird noch eine Woche geoeffnet bleiben, dann sehen wir weiter
Einige der Volunteers von Starfish werden in anderen Camps aushelfen, die Situation dort vor Ort verbessern.
Am Montag ist Hafenreinigung angesagt, auch im Wasser.

Dear friends,
what to write first?

We have again more refugees coming to the north. In between they mainly came to the south of Lesbos. We have to be prepared in any way. Sometimes volunteers from the north go to the south, to support.
Volunteers from around the world are helping here, or sending supplies. Its touching.
I hear, this night 2 adults and 1 child where dying in the sea. (nach ein paar Tagen hat sich die richtige Nachricht verbreitet, dass 1 alter Mann und ein Baby gestorben sind – Die Grossfamilie ist ein paar Tage spaeter direkt nach Deutschland geflogen worden, zusammen mit den 2 toten Koerpern)

It is said, that there are now 6 million!!!!!!!!!!!!! refugees in Turkey. Can you imagine, what will happen soon?
The streem cant be stopped, it will flow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We need bridges instead of closing the borders!!!!!!!!!!
Can you understand??? Can you open your mind for a wider concioussness? Can you??

We are living on one planet!!!!

Who would understand, who comes from outside of the planet???
Would you understand, when you go to another planet, that the beings there would not help each other. Build up borders, to keep the people in need away??? Thats, whats happening here.

All the people here, who come here, to help, and the refugees, and the locals, who prepared the ground (or have to deel with the situation) build up a new concioussness. We want to help and motivate others to help, whereever we are. Whereever we are on this beautiful planet. We have to hug!!!! Each other!!!!
