new ideas – a new level of peacework

Hello dear people everywhere, optimists, visionaries, believeres, seekers:)

even when I am not at the pilgrimage myself at the moment my thoughts are a lot with Thomas and especially the idea of the pilgrimage. I really cought fire about this so very meaningful topic: PEACE. More and more I realize how very important it is to understand what Peace means for us and how we can find peace in ourselves to create peace around us and in the world. It is not something I read about once in a while but what has to be part of my daily life. After walking with steppps for 4 1/2 month, learning so much about the meaning of peace, exchanging with people, working with myself and the group and discovering the countries we walked throug I feel, to continue the pilgrimage I want to open a new aspect, a new level of walking for peace.

I think this pilgrimage is a wonderful, enriching, inspiring idea and it should be much more in the public interest! So while I am at home at the moment I will work on this. I have a lot of ideas how to spread the news about steppps, because I think the more people now about it, support us, get inspired to think more about Peace, the more energy the walk gets. Newspapers, radios, via the net, spreading the flyers, talking to people (they are around me everywhere:), finding other organisations that work for peace. Connecting is so important to change things to move something.

On the other side I want to find Sponsors! Sponsors who support every kilometer we are walking, so that we can support people in the countries we are crossing. We are walking from one of the richest industrial countries to one of the poorest in the world and we will meet (and already met in Hungary and Romania) poverty in all its facets, hopelessness, prejudices. This fact grows the deep wish to support people and countries. There are already so much good organisations and projects too, worth to be supported and I want to do this, with every step I do:) So, just to clear the idea: I want to find Sponsors, so that we can support organisations in the countries we are walking in.

And I want to ask every one of you for help, too. Share about the steppps project with as many people as possible, let the world know that we are here,  that we believe in the possibility that we can change something together. If you know organisations or projects you consider worthy to connect to or to be supported let us know. The same when you have ideas who could be a Sponsor or who would like to support us, we will be happy to hear about.

It is our lifes, it is our world – lets take this beautiful responsibllity and create surroundings where we can live together peacefully. Lets start in ourselves and with people and nature around us and than lets get bigger:)
